FireCatKitty Media Productions is an independent creative studio rooted in storytelling, experimental media, and socially engaged art practice. Founded by multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker Rene Ross, the company develops films, media projects, and visual works that explore memory, place, and identity.
Our work moves between documentary, narrative, experiential cinema, and mixed media art – blending imagery with grounded human stories.
We are interested in overlooked histories, rural landscapes, and the ways ordinary people carry resilience through change, loss, humour, and survival.
Current projects include The Woods, now screening on the film festival circuit, alongside emerging works in short film, visual storytelling, and collaborative arts practice. FireCatKitty Media Productions is commuted to creating thoughtful, accessible, and emotionally honest work that connects audiences to the textures of lived experience in Atlantic Canada and beyond.
